Good Morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well today.
I am pleased to say that I am a bit more willing to write today’s post. I must admit coming out publicly with my health journey is vulnerable and at times something I really don’t want to do, but I believe that God wants me to change, and to do that I need to be vulnerable.
I can say that over the past 7 days I have worked out 5 of those days. I did on average 13 minutes of some sort of exercise on those days. I alternated between my treadmill, my Gazelle, videos online, and even working in the yard. 😉
I haven’t lost any weight. Well actually because I haven’t gotten on a scale for a while I am not really sure what my weight loss is or isn’t. I do know that my jeans are fitting better, and my energy levels are better. So I can say I made progress this past week regardless.
I do know that I might have lost some weight except for the Weekend. I did step on the scale in the middle of this past week. I was shocked that I was down as much as I was at that point. I knew I was feeling better and I know my clothes felt better. I wasn’t sure what the real weight loss was though since I have shunned my scale. Well I got lazy. I thought I am doing so good than I can indulge a little. I wasn’t planning on indulging as much as I did though. Daniel brought home some extra treats on Saturday. Doughnuts, and bear claws, etc. and I ate things that I shouldn’t have eaten. I allowed myself to eat things that I really should have just left for the kids to eat.
- To keep exercising at least some each day.
- To be disciplined in what I put in my mouth.
- To try and memorize some scripture that keeps my eyes on Jesus and being obedient to him.
My heart needs to change as much as my body does.

My Fitness Pal is a great tool for tracking food and exercise. I have used it in the past. I am not right now, because I found it to be too much to constantly be recording everything. But if you are looking for tools here is one that I love and recommend.
