Tuesday, 9/16 the book is released and all the goodies will go back to regular price.
You may be wondering what this book is all about and why is it a big deal anyway. Well, Darlene Schacht tells her story of how she made some bad decisions in her marriage, and how God redeemed those choices for His glory. She tells how her husband taught her about grace, and mercy. She shares openly and honestly her mistakes and her desire to become the woman who God is calling her to be. I enjoyed this book on so many levels.
Darlene has many insights that really touched my heart and grabbed my attention. But I just love the way she takes a story that could be told in a sensational way to gain readers, and instead shines the light on Jesus. She doesn’t allow you to be sucked into a sensational story. I say that as a good thing. Darlene’s story could be told in a way that is seeking attention for herself, it could be told in such a way as to gain as many readers as possible because of the power of the story itself. Instead Darlene uses brief little highlights.
Picture a stage, a narrator stands in the front off to one side, and in a corner there is a table with a woman sitting telling her story. At center stage is Jesus Christ. Occasionally the spotlight shines on the woman at the table, never does the light shine on the narrator, but most of the time the spotlight is at center stage on Jesus Himself. It is beautifully done.
I am very thankful that I was permitted to be a part of this book launch. It has been a wonderful experience for me. I hope you all order the book.
